Commissioners and Appointments

The Constitution provides for an Electoral Commissioner appointed by the President with National Assembly approval. The consultation draft proposes a seven-member collegial Commission: the Electoral Commissioner as Chairperson and six Associate Electoral Commissioners. No person has been appointed or given preference by this model.
