EXECUTIVE BRANCH · CENTRAL LEADERSHIP

Office of the President

A model central executive leadership page for presidential communications, executive priorities, and coordinated access to Eritrea’s ministries in a future constitutional democracy.

Educational design notice: The ABC Journey is presenting an institution-building model. It does not claim governmental authority, identify a current officeholder, or publish official state announcements.

Role of the Office

The Office of the President should provide national executive leadership within the Constitution and the law. This portal is designed to publish verified presidential announcements, explain executive priorities, and direct citizens and institutions to the ministry responsible for each public service without blurring ministerial responsibilities or constitutional limits.

Constitutional standards

  • Exercise executive authority only through powers defined by the Constitution and legislation.
  • Respect legislative oversight, judicial review, constitutional rights and the rule of law.
  • Publish reasons, legal authority and implementation information for major executive decisions.
  • Maintain transparent appointment, budgeting, procurement and reporting procedures.
  • Protect a professional, merit-based and politically impartial civil service.

Official announcements and updates

No verified presidential announcements have been published through this educational portal. Future entries should display a title, issue date, responsible publishing office, approval status, supporting document and correction history.

Preparing accountable executive government

The purpose of this section is practical preparation. Eritreans will need public institutions that can act effectively while remaining legally limited, transparent, reviewable and answerable to citizens.
