CLEAR Formatting Direction

The CLEAR—COURT LAYOUT AND ELECTRONIC ACCESSIBILITY RULES establish the Supreme Court of Eritrea’s uniform standards for preparing and filing clear, accessible, searchable, and professionally presented electronic documents through CAAM. They address page layout, typography, headings, paragraph and page numbering, citations, quotations, PDF requirements, and responsible AI-assisted formatting while preserving each filer’s responsibility for accuracy and compliance. CLEAR is intended to simplify document preparation, improve public access, and support efficient judicial administration, and will be reviewed periodically to incorporate experience, technological developments, and opportunities for improvement.
